Therapist-Led Discussion on Female Sexuality
6/13/26 6pm-8pm
at Salt City Holistic Health in downtown Syracuse
Hosted by Michelle Stiles, LMHC
Facilitated by Yvonne Law-Stokes, LMHC and Kasey Brennon, LMHC
Most women receive very little honest education about sexuality.
For many of us, the messages we grew up with were confusing, incomplete, or shaped by shame, silence, or misinformation.
This book club is meant to be something different.
We’ll gather for a thoughtful, therapist-facilitated discussion of Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski, a widely respected book that explores the science of female sexuality, desire, and intimacy.
This is a space for curiosity, learning, and open conversation about topics many women rarely get to discuss honestly.
⸻
This discussion will be facilitated by:
Yvonne Law-Stokes, LMHC-D
Kasey Brenon, LMHC
Both are licensed therapists who specialize in discussions around sexuality, intimacy, and relationship dynamics. They will guide the conversations, share professional insights, and help translate the research in the book into meaningful real-life understanding.
⸻
What to Expect
This will be a small, in-person gathering for women 18+ who are interested in exploring the ideas in the book in a respectful and supportive environment.
During the evening we will:
• explore key themes from Come As You Are
• discuss thoughts/reactions around the science of female desire and sexuality
• reflect on the messages many women receive about sex and relationships
• talk openly about intimacy, communication, and connection
There is no pressure to share personal experiences. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.
⸻
This Book Club May Be a Good Fit If You…
• enjoy thoughtful conversations about relationships and intimacy
• are curious about exploring your thoughts around the science behind female desire
• appreciate spaces that are both intellectually engaging and respectful
• want to explore these topics with other women in a supportive environment
• like the idea of discussing meaningful books with therapist guidance
